xoix Goodnight Studio is a gentle space designed for you to pause, reflect, and close your day with intention. We built this app around the idea that your nightly thoughts are deeply personal, and privacy isn't an afterthought — it's the foundation of everything we create.

This document outlines how we handle information when you use our app to write one line a day, create beautiful Goodnight Cards, and build your private monthly journal of reflections. Our philosophy is simple: collect only what we need, protect what we collect, and never sell your personal information to anyone.

We built xoix Goodnight Studio to help you build a calming daily habit, one sentence at a time. Every piece of information we collect serves this mission in some way:

We never use your personal reflections for advertising, never share them with third parties for marketing purposes, and never analyze your content to target you with any commercial messages.

Your daily journal is a private space for intentional reflection. By default, everything you write in xoix Goodnight Studio is private, visible only to you. We design our systems to keep your content that way by default.

If you choose to share your Goodnight Card with someone else outside the app, that's entirely your decision. The exported card leaves our system and is shared through whatever method you choose — messaging, email, social media, or any other channel. We don't keep copies of the cards you choose to share, and we don't track what you do with them after you create them.

We will never sell your personal content or your personal information to third parties. We never rent your information, we never trade it, and we won't give it away for marketing purposes.

We only share your information in limited, specific circumstances:

• With your explicit consent. We'll only share your information when you've asked us to, for example, when you choose to back up your data to a third-party service you've selected.
• With trusted service providers. We work with a small number of trusted technology providers who help us run the app — cloud storage providers, infrastructure services, and similar. These providers are bound by privacy agreements that require them to protect your data and use it only as we instruct.
• When required by law. If we are legally compelled to disclose your information, we will only share what we are legally required to share, and we will notify you where legally permitted.
• To protect safety. We may share information if we believe in good faith that it's necessary to protect someone from harm.

In the event of any business change like a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, your personal data will remain protected and subject to the commitments in this privacy policy.

We retain your personal content for as long as you choose to keep it in your journal. We built xoix Goodnight Studio to be a place where you can look back on months and years of reflections, so we keep your data until you tell us to delete it.

If you delete your account, all your content is deleted from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe. Anonymized, aggregate data that doesn't identify you personally may be retained for analytical purposes, but this doesn't contain any of your personal reflections or identifiable information.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time when we make meaningful changes to our practices or when legal requirements change. When we make changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we'll notify you through the app or by email before the changes take effect.
